Seating, without the board
Digital seating chart for events
A printed seating board looks elegant in a photo and falls apart the moment a table changes. BlueBox replaces it with a seating chart that lives in your organizer app and updates itself for every guest, every time you edit it.
The problem with printed boards
One chart, printed once —
and nothing goes exactly to plan.
Guest counts shift, tables get combined, and someone always needs to be moved the morning of the event. A printed seating board can't absorb any of that without being reprinted, and a crowd forming around a single board at the entrance slows everyone down.
With BlueBox, you assign each guest a table — and a specific seat, if you want that level of detail — from the organizer app. If plans change, you simply edit the assignment. There is nothing to reprint and nothing that gets out of date.
Assign tables, and seats where it matters
For most events, a table assignment is enough. For head tables, formal dinners or events where exact placement matters, you can add a seat number too.
- Add guests individually, or import a full guest list with duplicate detection.
- Assign a table, and an optional seat, to each guest.
- Group related guests so families or delegations sit together.
- See per-table counts in the seating view as you work.

Guests search themselves
Instead of scanning a wall of names, guests type their own name into Find My Seat, on their phone or at a BlueBox display, and their table appears in seconds. Fuzzy search tolerates typos and misspellings, and duplicate names are disambiguated with extra detail.

Changes happen
Update the chart right up to
the moment guests walk in.
Because the seating chart lives in the organizer app rather than on paper, last-minute changes are simply an edit. Move a guest to a different table, adjust a seat, or shuffle a table that grew by two — the next time anyone searches that guest's name, they see the current assignment, not the one from last week.
That also means there is no single point of failure at the door. If a guest asks a staff member for help, the same information is visible from the organizer app, so answers are consistent everywhere.
Frequently asked questions
How do I assign tables and seats in BlueBox?
In the organizer app, you assign each guest a table and, optionally, a specific seat. You can do this individually or after importing your guest list.
Can I change a guest's table at the last minute?
Yes. Table and seat assignments can be updated any time before or during the event, and the change is reflected immediately for guests searching their name.
How do guests see their seating without a printed chart?
Guests search their own name using Find My Seat, on their phone or on a BlueBox display, and their table appears instantly.
Can I see how many guests are at each table?
Yes. The seating view in the organizer app shows per-table counts so you can see how full each table is as you assign guests.
What if two guests share the same name?
Find My Seat handles duplicate names by showing extra details so guests can confirm which result is theirs before their table is revealed.
