Guest experience

Find My Seat for live events

A printed seating chart works for a handful of tables. It falls apart the moment two hundred guests arrive at once. Find My Seat replaces the chart, the clipboard and the crowd around it with a search box that takes a guest from their name to their table in a couple of taps.

Type a few letters.
Get their name.

Guests don't need to spell their name exactly, and they don't need to know how it was entered when the list was imported. Search tolerates typos and near-misses, so "Mike" still surfaces "Mike Johnson" even with a letter out of place.

Results narrow as the guest types, showing the closest matches first rather than an alphabetical dump of the full guest list.

Same name, different guest

Two Sarahs on the list?
BlueBox asks, doesn't guess.

Large guest lists almost always include duplicate first names, and often duplicate full names too. Instead of picking one at random or forcing the guest to talk to a host, BlueBox shows every matching name together with extra distinguishing detail, so the guest can confirm which entry is theirs before a table is ever revealed. This keeps the wrong table from being shown to the wrong person, without adding any extra step for guests whose name is unique.

The reveal
is the moment.

Once a guest confirms their name, their table number appears large and clear — designed to be read at a glance, whether on a phone screen a guest is holding or on a display several feet away.

On a guest's phone

Find My Seat sits inside the guest hub a guest reaches from the event QR code or guest link, alongside the program, menu, event information and announcements. It works quietly, in a guest's own hands, before or after they've arrived.

On a display at the entrance

At the door, a large BlueBox touchscreen runs the welcome screen, search and reveal full-screen, for guests who prefer not to use their own phone. It resets automatically after each guest is done, ready for the next arrival with no staff involvement.

Frequently asked questions

How does Find My Seat work?

A guest types their name into the search box, on their phone or at a BlueBox display, and taps their name to reveal their assigned table.

What if a guest misspells their name?

Search tolerates typos and spelling variations, so a slightly wrong spelling still surfaces the right guest.

What happens when two guests share a name?

BlueBox shows the matching names together with extra detail so the guest can confirm which one is them before their table is revealed.

Can Find My Seat run on a large display?

Yes. A BlueBox display shows the same name search and table reveal full-screen on a large touchscreen, sized to be read across a room, and resets to welcome after each guest.

Do organizers need to do anything extra to enable it?

No separate setup. Once guests are assigned a table in the organizer app, Find My Seat works automatically in the guest hub and on the display.
